Arkansas Strengthening Families Initiative
Arkansas Strengthening Families is an initiative to integrate existing strategies for preventing child
abuse and neglect into early care and education programs.  The primary strategy is to introduce the
concept of building protective factors around children in early childhood settings.

A Walk Upstream
"A Walk Upstream" is a visual program about child abuse and neglect prevention.  The program was
produced by Arkansas Educational Telecommunications Network and funded in part by the Arkansas
Children's Trust Fund.  The program originally aired on AETN, Arkansas' public television station and
still airs occasionally.  A recorded version of the production is also available, along with a copies of the
related materials.

Talking about Touching
Talking About Touching is a personal safety curriculum for children in Pre-K through Grade 3.  Children
learn basic safety rules to guide them toward safe decision making in a variety of situations, from bike
and gun safety to unsafe touches and uncomfortable situations.
