The following programs have received funding from the Trust Fund for FY 2007-08.
     
Baxter County
Baxter County Juvenile Services
Amount: $25,000.00
Funding supports a family resource center that
offers parenting classes, information forums
and workshops, and support groups.
  Madison County
Madison County HELP Task Force
Amount: $36,350.00
Project FOCUS serves pregnant and parenting
teens and young families in rural Madison
County.  The program provides home visits as
well as parenting classes to help strengthen the
family relationships through education,
resource utilization, and social support.
Boone County
North Arkansas Partnership for Health Education
Amount: $15,000.00
Funding will support a family resource center.  
The center refers families to community
resources, offers programs and services to help
educate parents, and offers support groups.
  Multiple Counties
Parenting Education from Prisons, Jails, and
DCC Units in Arkansas
Amount: $15,500.00
This program serves incarcerated parents.  
Participants receive parenting classes as well
as opportunities for involvement with children
through letters, printed material mailed,
visitation, phone, and video contact.  Services
and support for the children's caregivers are
also offered.
Boone/Searcy Counties
Harrison Arkansas Revitalizing Parental Skills
(HARPS)
Amount: $15,000.00
This program will implement a parenting
program called DARE to be You.  The curriculum
will target children ages two to five, their primary
caregivers, and other family members.
  Poinsett County
Name: Parenting and Childbirth Education
Services (PACES)
Amount: $30,000.00
This program provides home visitation, parent
education, and support groups for pregnant and
parenting teens and young adults in Poinsett
County.
Desha, Lincoln, and Chicot Counties
Partners for Inclusive Communities
Amount: $22,000.00
Using the MELD curriculum, this program
reaches young moms ages 13-20.  Young
moms and dads meet biweekly to receive basic
practical information and support regarding
parenting and decision-making.
  Searcy and Van Buren Counties
Ozark Mountain Health
Amount: $127,500.00
This home visiting program is targeted to
pregnant and parenting teens aged 13-19 and
their children.  Using the MELD curriculum, the
program helps to educate and empower teen
mothers.
Independence County
Batesville Schools Parents as Teachers
Amount: $29,589.00
Parents as Teachers is a home visiting program
that offers information, support, and resources
to help reduce the stress of parents.  Play
groups and opportunities for interaction with
other parents are offered monthly.
  Sebastian County
Fort Smith Public Schools
Amount: $24,000.00
This program will provide parenting education
classes using the Parents as Teachers Born to
Learn curriculum.  It will target three residential
facilities that house females considered to be at
high risk for child abuse.
Jefferson County
ACCESS, Inc.
Amount: $127,500.00
The Fresh Start Home Visiting Program serves
pregnant and parenting teens.
  Sevier County
Southwest Arkansas Domestic Violence Center
Amount: $25,000.00
This program will focus on low income and
bilingual families that rely heavily upon
government assistance.  They will provide
parenting classes, support groups, and a 24/7
hotline.
Little River County
Parents as Teachers (DMEC)
Amount: $29,500.00
Parents as Teachers is an early childhood
development program for parents of children
from birth to five years old.  The program offers
home visits and monthly meetings to help
educate parents and offer them a network of
support with other parents and their surrounding
community.
  Washington County
Family Network, Inc.
Amount: $46,435.00
This is a home visiting program that meets with
families weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, based on
the needs of each family, for education and
support.  Enrollees in this program will receive
parenting and life skills education.
