We support programs to strengthen young families
We know that successful
families possess certain attributes and skills. To promote the success
of families who are still developing these skills and attributes, the
Children's Trust Fund supports programs that strengthen families and their parenting capacity.
Our current funding focus is on newborn home visiting programs for pregnant and parenting teens and young adults. Funded programs provide services using the THRIVE Model, which provides periodic home visits beginning prenatally and continuing through the third year of the child's life. These visits provide education, skills training and support on subjects such as child development, basic care skills, discipline strategies, and goal setting for the parents.
