We educate others through community programs
One of the ways that communities can reduce child maltreatment is by supporting and responding to the needs of all families and children. Here are some of the ways that we help communities help parents.
Local Councils to Prevent Child Abuse
The State Child Abuse & Neglect Prevention Board encourages the establishment of a Certified Local Council in every Arkansas county. These councils serve as the liaison between our organization and local communities. To locate or establish a Local Council, click here.

A Safety Baby Shower is an opportunity for pregnant women and their support persons to learn about infant safety. Participants learn about how to protect their babies from the leading causes of accidental death and receive related safety products in a fun, shower-themed atmosphere.
The Children's Trust Fund, with grant funding from the Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas, is able to provide Safety Baby Shower training, materials and products. These showers are coordinated and hosted by our grantees, in partnership with Local Councils and other community groups. |
